A BLESSED ADVENT SEASON TO ONE AND ALL

As we enter into the season of Advent, let us prepare our hearts and homes for the birth of the Christ Child.  A Holy Advent focuses our attention upon the central event of the Christmas Season.  The four weeks leading up to Christmas, the first day in the Season of Christmas, are a time of preparation.  We are to make room for Christ in our hearts and lives.  Especially at this time of year, we can get lost in the comings and goings, special events, holiday baking and decorating, friends and family coming and going, and an endless array of expectations we place upon ourselves and we accepts from others.

This devotional guide is designed to help you slow the world down for a few minutes each day to remind yourself about who is the truly important One and what is the truly important duty of the Christmas Season.  that truly important One is Jesus Christ.  The very Son of God.  The child born in Bethlehem and worshipped by shepherds and Wise Men.  The truly important duty of Christmas is to come to the manger to worship and then to go forth, as did the shepherds, praising God and telling everyone of the glorious birth of the Messiah.

For each of the four weeks there is a short devotional.  Each day of the week has a designated reading from the Bible.  I encourage you to set aside a special time to share the readings and reflect upon what they mean in your observance of Christmas.  I challenge you to step away from what the world has come to call Christmas and allow there to be appropriate prominence in your observance for the Gift of God that changed your life, forgave your sins, and offered to you Eternal Life.

May you have a blessed and joyous Advent and Christmas Seasons.
